About these estimates

This is a high-level estimate based on published industry benchmarks, not an audit of your claims. Your actual results depend on your payer mix, contracts, and documentation.

Where the benchmarks come from
  • Denial rates by specialty: OmniMD (2026), with an Experian-attributed industry range.
  • A/R targets: HFMA and MGMA benchmarks, as summarized by Revecore.
  • Underpayments: Rivet Health, citing Becker's Hospital Review and MGMA.
  • Visit coding mix (peer mix is an all-specialty average unless noted): Epic Research (2023) and CMS Medicare frequency data (2024).
  • Visit payment rates: CMS 2026 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, national rates before geographic adjustment.
What this tool can't tell you
  • It's not an audit and not coding or legal advice.
  • Your patients may be more or less complex than the peer averages, which can legitimately change your coding mix.
  • The visit-mix estimate looks only at established-patient office visits (99213, 99214, 99215). Procedure coding, modifiers, and bundling in surgical and procedure-heavy specialties need claim-level review.
  • Anesthesiology uses anesthesia CPT codes (00100 to 01999) with base units, time, and modifiers instead of office visit codes, so we skip the visit-mix estimate for it.
  • We do not collect or need any patient information. Please don't type any into this page.
